History: Born to a pair of well-to-do professionals in London - Peter's father is a barrister and his mother has a position in the ministry of education - Peter Wild has always been a square peg being shoved in a round hole. Brilliant beyond any of his family's ability to understand, he had a particular affinity for computers from a young age, first taking apart his mother's machine (oops?) and then building his own machines before he was sent off to receive a proper education at Harrow School.

Ah, Harrow.

One of those premium, storied British boys' schools, it wants to be Eton but isn't quite there - but it is, nonetheless, full of pompous gentlemen in training who are all largely convinced that they're the brightest, smartest, and most beautiful people in any room. They don't like that to be contradicted, and so Peter - who was not of any kind of gentry stock and was indubitably the smartest boy in any room he walked into - did not prove to be popular. He spent most of his time at Harrow in the computer science lab, the library, his rooms...and locked into cupboards when his various nemeses managed to catch him.

Cambridge went better, and Peter sailed through it in three years and was promptly snapped up by MI-5 to work as an IT specialist in their counterterrorism unit...and his parents and family drew a sigh of relief. They'd never really known what to do with him, after all, and he was probably better off focusing his energies in the frenetic pace of a major government operation.

MI-5, however, had some problems figuring out what to do with Peter, too. He did his work quickly, efficiently, and exemplarily well, protecting Britain from her enemies et cetera and so forth, but there was still so much time to fill. He had superiors who didn't know half as much as he did, coworkers who were just bloody idiots. As such, Peter developed a reputation in the agency as a brilliant loose cannon constantly on the edge of going off. It wasn't terribly surprising that he got loaned to Interpol on a wild goose chase of a mission to find the killer of a probably-mugged Interpol agent.

Too bad that trail led he and his cohorts to the Deck.

Upon entering - whatever this place is - Peter, Jack, and Diane decided the smart thing would be to split up, and change names, just in case someone decided to get snoopy. Jack (the Interpol contact) went to the Clubs as a Two. Diane (the CIA agent) went to the Spades. And Peter Wild became Peter Callender and entered the Diamonds as a Two, and was assigned to run the Diamond IT department, mostly because there was no one else doing it since Laila Maroun had left months before.

Personality: Peter is the definition of too smart for his own good. He's young, reckless, and bored, and he's always been the smartest person in any room - from the time he was a very young child on. He can be smug and superior, and simultaneously older than his years and very childlike.

His childhood and the subsequent isolation his intelligence caused him to have has given Peter some antisocial tendencies. He likes people well enough, but it's much the way most people like puppies - he's smarter than them, but it's cute the way they try - and as a result has serious problems making connections. At the same time, he gets particularly prickly when people treat him the same way, and has a tendency to hold grudges against people who treat him like a child - or just badly in general. He still has a seething hatred for the boys who bullied him at Harrow, even though years have passed now.

Additionally, Peter has an undiagnosed case of hypomania, something that makes him difficult for most people to deal with. He functions on three to four hours of sleep a night, at best, and often gets wild hairs he has to follow to their conclusion. His mood swings like a pendulum, going from bouncy and energetic to irritable and tempestuous with very little cause.

Appearance: Peter is slender leaning towards skinny. He's also very tall, standing at 6'2, but people usually estimate him as being around 5'10, due to his habit of lounging and slouching. His wardrobe is an odd combination of sporty-casual - he's got a large collection of football jerseys, even though he hates most sports - and schoolboy sweaters and ties, which doesn't help him look much older than he is.

Why this Suit? The bloody Yanks split up the black Suits between them, and it'd just be mean to subject the Hearts to him.
